Afropolitan Cities is a global platform that connects professionals through unique, social and cultural events across the country! Attendees look forward to vibing out to good music, networking and celebrating African-Caribbean culture!

I had so much fun hosting The Ultimate J'ouvert Fete" Edition! Over 600 professionals came out to Cities Lounge in Washington DC for a Caribbean carnival celebration! Patrons were treated to a fusion of live performances by KaribFIT, stunning carnival dancers, mouth water cuisine and an informative Carnival history presentation by Soca SDot Chandler!

And of course it wouldn’t be an Afropolitan Cities event without dancing! DJ ClaudeDi Martian and I had the crowd rocking!

Over 400 attendees came out for an evening of fabulous food, fun and music! We had the tough task of sampling over 45 amazing restaurants! Plus, I can’t forget beer, wine and cocktails! Oh yeah! A portion of the proceeds from the gala benefitted the Baltimore Hunger Project, a nonprofit dedicated to feeding hungry children in the area.

Baltimore, Maryland: Baltimore!!!!!! I love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We cannot thank everyone enough for helping to make the 2017 Baltimore AIDS Walk a huge success! We raised nearly $100,000 to expand HIV/AIDS prevention, outreach, and testing services! More than 600 attendees gathered at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore on Sunday, May 7 to take steps to end HIV and AIDS in Baltimore. They were welcomed to the event by Baltimore City Health Commissioner Dr. Leana Wen, Chase Brexton Health Care President and CEO Patrick Mutch, and emceed by your truly!

In addition, 30 vendors offered information and resources at a finish line health fair.

More than 12,000 people are living with HIV in Baltimore--1 in 43 city residents--but 16 percent do not know they're infected. Among Chase Brexton's HIV patients, 90 percent have suppressed viral loads, compared to 71 percent of HIV patients city-wide. 72 percent of Chase Brexton HIV patients have undetectable viral loads!!! AMAZING!!!!

Thank you to all those who came out and ran and walked and cheered and volunteered! Thank you to everyone who donated, to our corporate and individual sponsors! Without you, none of this would have been possible! Donations are still going on, up until June 30th at BaltmoreAIDSWalk.org!
